Area residents create group to help cancer victims

December 01, 2021

A group of citizens has formed The Tri-County Health Rescue team. The mission of this group is to help cancer patients in the, Ft. Cobb and Mountain View area. The money will help with ongoing expenses caused by cancer causes. Gas to go for treatments, medicines and other costs are examples of what the funds will be used to cover. A short application will be provided so that TCHR members may know how they can best help needy individuals. All funds will be used to help patients. There are no administrative costs in this group.

The businesses in the three (3) communities have been extremely generous in helping get this started. TCHR members are currently conducting a fundraiser. AS part of the fundraiser, tickets for a $500 shopping spree at Super C in Carnegie are being sold. The drawing will be held Dec. 17, 2021, at the Carnegie/Ft. Cobb basketball game. Individuals do not have to be present to win. Interested individuals can contact any of the people you see in the photo if they would like to purchase tickets or make a donation.

TCHR officials said first funds will be going out to recipients this week.
